Five House Wren nestlings and one unhatched egg, maybe about 2 days old.  House Wrens are native and eat a lot of insects, but are very territorial.  They are not a fan favorite because often peck and remove eggs and young nestlings of other birds, and fill up boxes with dummy stick nests.

They have out competed Bewick’s Wrens, which have disappeared from many areas.

Carolina Wrens, which are chubbier and have an eye stripe and do not use sticks in their nests, are NOT aggressive.
